Another puzzle solved!

Hey everyone, cuckoos here. Now, as it seems, Dantarion is continuing his work on the spectacular Clone Engine once again. After hearing the news, I had remembered something of great importance; My good friend Pik had showed me progress of a Professor Layton model the other day. So I thought that using this model, I could be the first in the brawl hacking community to create a perfectly balanced, perfectly reasonable, and basically, a brand new character in it’s entirety.

Hit the jump for more info.

There isn’t much progress as of yet (Pik only recently gave me the Layton model), but there will be soon if we get more people to pitch in.

I guess you could call this a Koo.pac project, except this one isn’t as disappointing as SSE2

Here is the model, in all of it’s glory:

Neutral Attack Combo – Layton lunges forward with his fencing sword twice.
Side Attack – Layton performs a wider lunge.
Up Attack – Layton sways his sword upwards quickly. Similar to Marth’s Up Attack.
Down Attack – Marth’s crouch attack, more or less.
Dash Attack – Thrusts forward with his sword.
Neutral Aerial Attack – Does a side-kick in mid-air.
Aerial Forward Attack – Slices vertically through the air. Similar to Marth’s Aerial Forward.
Aerial Back Attack – Turns around, and attacks the opponent with a back-handed slap.
Aerial Up Attack – Layton sways his sword upwards quickly mid-air.
Aerial Down Attack – Layton does a mid-air axe kick in the direction he’s facing. Spikes the opponent.
Side Smash – Spins around twice, whilst slightly slanted, his sword extruding.
Up Smash – Powerfully slashes twice above his head in an “X” pattern (right-diagonal and left-diagonal slices)
Down Smash – Jumps only slightly off of the ground and lands, creating two stars that appear on the two sides of him. These stars do damage.

-Cuckoos [Animations, PSA work]
-Pik [Providing the model]

What we have done:
-Finished the Layton model

What we need to do:
-Porting it over Ike

I can’t stress this enough! I cannot do all of the animation work by myself, and we can’t even borrow animations from other characters due to Jeff’s strange bone structure.

i cant even tell who the fuck that was on originally! i might contribute to this lemme think about if i have the time, im about to graduate and my band is recording an EP album so i am losing time also just to tell you animations are a fucking pain in the ass, you will need more help.

i will probably help on this because of the amazement of the model.

Geno diserves a new slot on the roster as well.

Wow, this looks really nice. It’s a shame that it had Jeff as a base though because of the way his bones are.

dant’s actually finished the clone engine, but unfortunately right now he’s the only one that can actually work it.i can get early access when he does make a more user friendly version, though.

not sure at this point. what i do know is that its not user friendly in the least and pretty much only dant can work it at this time.

I thought it was being held back for P:M? I remember hearing that at one time and if that’s so it will make many people (myself included) very angry, or at least very impatient.
